Feelings of Safety

Dear Resident

The first of a series of community events aimed at discussing Male Violence Against Women and Girls (MVAWG) was held in Hoddesdon last Saturday evening 2nd August 2025.

Officers were in the town centre from 8pm-10pm where they spoke to around 50 people, they discussed themes around keeping safe, safeguarding procedures and also promoted the 'Ask for Angela’ (https://askforangela.co.uk/) scheme.

While MVAWG was the main focus, some members of the public took the opportunity to speak with police about other themes and young people enjoyed looking around the police vehicles.

Thanks to all the members of the public who dropped by to speak with us as we continue our commitment to tackling male violence against women and girls. We will be in Hoddesdon town centre hosting the community engagement stand each Saturday evening during August and September. If you have any questions, please do drop by and speak to us.

Regards,

Gerry
